Skype Meeting 9/29/10
We had our first Skype meeting where we continued brainstorming ideas that we would use for our project. The group discussed the importance of art to their students. There were some great ideas for the project including: a virtual museum, a travelling art exhibit, an art fair, individual projects being shared, teaching via video conference, an art fair, and performing exhibits. Many ideas were generated, and now we will take some time to think about what we as a group would like to do.

Skype Meeting 10/13/10

In tonights Skype meeting the group discussed putting together a moving exhibit. In this exhibit each teacher would produce two pieces of art and the music teachers would most likely create the music to go along with those works. This seems like it will be a great way for our students to create art, as well as a way to bring more art to our students.

Skype Meeting 10/27/10

We had a short Skype meeting where we discussed getting our hours reported, as well as getting our serial numbers posted. We decided to reschedule our meeting for next week feeling that most people forgot about the meeting.

Skype Meeting 11/3/10

In tonights meeting we discussed the possibility of doing a traveling exhibit, and what some of the problems could be. We also discussed our line of inquiry and it was proposed that it may need to be altered in order for this exhibition to work. We need to develop a way to measure change in the students and to be sure we are not just doing a project, but really exploring a topic.

Skype Meeting 11/17/10

In tonights meeting we discussed pre tests and post tests and what it is that we are looking for with this project. If we are looking for growth and inspiration we need some sort of survey to measure this. We also discussed prompts that could be used to measure divergent thinking.

Skype Meeting 12/3/10

In tonights meeting we discussed coming up with dates for our groups show and how we will document our hours as well as tell our story.

Skype Meeting 1/26/11

In tonights meeting we discussed our final project in more detail and how we will display our show as well as our results at the IU. We discussed using a poster with our data and putting pictures on the ning. We also discussed our methods of inquiry and our research. We each discussed how our final projects were progressing. Our next meeting will be Feb. 16th to check on our progress for each of our shows.

Skype Meeting 2/16/11
A Skype meeting was held at 9:00 PM. Present were Michael Bruno, Aime Vacanti, Liz Gessner, Amanda Barber and Rachael Kelly. Discussion centered on six issues. The final presentation of the inquiry in conjunction with the traveling show was the first topic. The idea of a collection of research posters of the kind typically found at professional conferences to be displayed along with the show was formally approved by the group. Each person will create a poster using the format of the .tiff file below. The thinking was that this would provide information about the inquiry and documentation of the inquiry in a manner that is concise and not time consuming. The same material presented on a Ning would also serve to tell our story in a consistent and efficient manner.

Discussion or the nature of the exhibit centered around concerns about the quality of the audio recordings that are to be part of the exhibit. Discussion of microphones , digital audio recording and the group's willingness to share equipment seemed to resolve the issue of consistency between audio qualities of the various recordings.

Each person gave a brief status report on the progress of their efforts. All expressed confidence regarding the deadlines. Every person reported positive and enthusiastic responses by their students and colleagues as well. Nobody reported any negativity from staff, administration or community members.

The exhibit schedule was reviewed and is posted on this wiki. Additionally the exhibit may be set up at the IU two weeks before our May meeting and be taken down after that final AE2.0 day.

Cig members were made aware ot what is being termed the "Guiness Project" Below is a message that will be sent to everyone on Feb. 21 that explains the concept and procedures.
